Hindustan Power has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Assam government to invest Rs 6.2 billion in solar power and battery energy storage projects.
Under the agreement, Hindustan Power will allocate Rs 5 billion for a 100 MW solar power plant and Rs 1.2 billion for a 100 MW battery energy storage system in Assam. The investment aligns with Hindustan Power’s strategy to build a 5,000 MW renewable energy portfolio within the next three years.
