Apollo Green Energy Limited has incorporated a new subsidiary, AGEL Renewable Energy Limited, to focus on utility-scale solar projects and energy storage solutions, including hydrogen-based systems.
The newly formed subsidiary aims to expand AGEL’s footprint in India’s renewable energy sector by developing large-scale projects integrating advanced storage technologies. AGEL Renewable Energy Limited plans to develop a 1,000 MW renewable energy portfolio with an estimated investment of Rs 5 billion in the coming years. Additionally, the company will actively participate in government tenders and establish power purchase agreements with utilities and commercial consumers to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy solutions.
