REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has transferred two special purpose vehicles – Bidar Transco Limited and Khavda V-B1B2 Power Transmission Limited – to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) through a tariff-based competitive bidding process. The transmission projects aim to augment transformation capacity at the Bidar Pooling Station in Karnataka and the KPS1 and KPS2 substations in Gujarat, facilitating the evacuation of power from renewable energy generators.
