NGEL and CSPGCL sign JVA for renewable energy projects

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has signed a joint venture agreement (JVA) with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) during the Chhattisgarh Energy Investors summit.

The JVA aims to develop, operate, and maintain renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hybrid, and floating solar, with a total capacity of up to 2 GW in Chhattisgarh and other identified locations. As per the agreement, a joint venture company (JVC) will be formed with a 74:26 shareholding pattern, where NGEL will hold 74 per cent, and CSPGCL will hold 26 per cent. The JVC will supply renewable power to CSPGCL or distribution companies of Chhattisgarh and commercial and industrial customers across India.
