Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government to provide financial assistance of Rs 268 billion to the state’s power utilities. The funding will support capital expenditure projects for Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Company Limited, Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited and MP discoms. The assistance will be utilised for key infrastructure initiatives, including new supercritical thermal units, solar power plants, renovation and modernisation of hydropower stations, power evacuation systems, smart metering, and loss reduction measures under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme.
