JSL Super Steel, a subsidiary of Jindal Stainless Limited, has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Sunsure Energy to procure 11 MWp of solar power for its Ghaziabad facility in Uttar Pradesh.
The agreement is part of Sunsure’s 49 MWp solar project located in Augasi, Uttar Pradesh, and will be executed under the state’s Power Banking Policy. The 11 MWp solar supply is expected to meet nearly 40 per cent of the Ghaziabad plant’s conventional energy demand, enabling the facility to transition significantly toward clean energy usage.
