MNRE inaugurates solar PV testing facility at NISE

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has inaugurated a photo voltaic (PV) module testing and calibration lab at the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE).

The facility is expected to set global benchmarks in solar research and development, testing, training, and policy support. It will provide comprehensive testing, calibration, and certification services, especially for emerging photovoltaic technologies where international standards are still developing. The lab is poised to support the production linked incentive scheme by ensuring that domestically manufactured solar modules meet the highest quality requirements.
