GE Vernova has secured an order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) to supply more than 70 units of 765 kV transformers and shunt reactors for transmission projects linked to renewable power corridors across India.
The manufacturing will take place at GE Vernova’s power transformer facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026 and continue through the end of 2027. The scope of the order includes supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the equipment.
