L&T despatches fourth steam generator for Kaiga Atomic Power Station ahead of schedule

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Heavy Engineering division has despatched the fourth steam generator for the Kaiga Atomic Power Station in Karnataka, completing the delivery of a set of four steam generators for one unit under India’s 10×700 MWe pressurised heavy water reactor fleet programme. The fourth steam generator was delivered nine months ahead of schedule, and the complete set was delivered in just 45 months, with the first unit despatched in a record 33 months. These steam generators are intended for Units 5 and 6 of the Kaiga plant.
