Swaraj Tractors, a division of the Mahindra Group, has partnered with Mahindra Susten, the group’s cleantech arm, to develop Punjab’s largest solar group captive project – a 26 MW installation in Bathinda district. The solar plant, developed by Mahindra Susten, will supply clean energy to four Swaraj Tractors manufacturing facilities in Mohali and Dera Bassi. The project is expected to generate 60 million kWh annually, offsetting approximately 54,600 tonnes of CO2 emissions. This will enable Swaraj Tractors to meet up to 50 per cent of its power requirements through renewable energy.
