Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation (Japan), has signed an MoU with the Telangana government to expand its power transmission and distribution (T&D) manufacturing capabilities in the state. The MoU will advance Toshiba’s previously announced investment of JPY 10 billion. The investment aims to scale up manufacturing, assembly and testing capacities for both distribution and power transformers, while boosting exports and supporting the Make in India and Export from India initiatives.
