Reliance NU Energies secures 350 MW solar + 175 MW/700 MWh BESS order from SJVN

Reliance NU Energies Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Power Limited, has secured an order from SJVN Limited for the development of a 350 MW solar power project integrated with a 175 MW / 700 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) under the interstate transmission system service-connected solar + BESS tender.

The tariff for the project has been fixed at Rs 3.33 per kWh for a period of 25 years. The project will be developed under a build-own-operate model, is part of SJVN’s broader tender for 1,200 MW solar and 600 MW / 2,400 MWh BESS capacity. Once commissioned, the project will expand Reliance Power’s renewable portfolio with an additional 600 MWp of solar and 700 MWh of BESS capacity, contributing to its leadership in India’s clean energy transition.
