VFlowTech has secured USD20.5 million in its latest funding round to scale its long-duration energy storage technologies and enhance its artificial intelligence (AI) powered energy management platform. The funding round was led by Granite Asia, with participation from new investors economic development board investments, Mitsui O.S.K. lines PLUS, PSA ventures and existing investors including Antares Ventures, İnci Holding, UntroD Capital, Pappas Capital, Wavemaker Partners, Startup Enterprise Development Scheme Capital and Entrepreneurs First. The capital will be used to scale up manufacturing and deployment of vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs) to develop vanadium recycling, electrolyte innovation, and membrane advancements, and strengthen the company’s AI-based energy management platform to enable energy optimisation, smart grid functionalities, and energy trading capabilities.
