KAHRAMAA signs QAR3.1 billion contracts to enhance electricity infrastructure

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has signed four strategic contracts valued at approximately QAR3.1 billion, to meet the growing electricity demand driven by the country’s rapid urban development.

These contracts aim to enhance the electricity network and ensure its sustainability in the face of increasing demand. The contracts, signed with four key firms— Elsewedy Cables Qatar Company of Qatar, Voltage Engineering Limited Company W.L.L of Qatar, Best and Betash Consortium of Turkey, and Taihan Cable & Solution of South Korea—focus on the construction of seven high voltage substations and the provision of 212 km of UGC and OHL to connect them.
