Volks Energie has secured a contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) for the commissioning of a solar photovoltaic system integrated with lithium ion battery energy storage (BESS) and charger systems for the Irugur–Devangonthi pipeline (IDPL) project.
The IDPL pipeline spans across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, connecting Irugur near Coimbatore to Devangonthi. The latest deployment will enable reliable, off-grid power backup through solar and battery integration, supporting critical infrastructure, cathodic protection, and other remote station operations along the pipeline route.
