The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has launched the innovative projects start-up challenge on rooftop solar and distributed renewable energy (DRE) technologies.
The challenge is aimed at identifying and supporting breakthrough technologies in the rooftop solar and distributed energy sectors. It is being implemented under the guidance of MNRE with support from the National Institute of Solar Energy, in coordination with StartUp India and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. The challenge invites applications from Indian innovators and start-ups across four categories: affordability for low- and middle-income households through innovative financing, modular systems and circular economy strategies; enhancing climate resilience, grid stability and cybersecurity in solar infrastructure.
