Russia and Mali sign trade agreements to explore cooperation in nuclear energy

Russia and Mali have signed a series of agreements to strengthen trade and economic ties with both countries expressing interest in expanding cooperation in key sectors including nuclear energy.

Several strategic areas for future collaboration were identified such as geological exploration, natural resource development, energy, logistics, and humanitarian initiatives. Among the agreements signed was a deal for cooperation in nuclear energy. Both sides reaffirmed their interest in advancing a previously discussed strategic project involving the construction of a Russian-designed low-power nuclear power plant in Mali.
