The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has released the First Edition of the Electricity Handbook to codify safety measures aimed at preventing electrical fires and accidents at battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS), and solar including rooftop solar installations.
The handbook provides actionable guidelines and best practices for operators, consumers, and prosumers to enhance appliance safety and reduce risks to life and property. It urges all stakeholders to familiarise themselves with these safety protocols to promote secure and resilient energy infrastructure across residential, commercial, and community settings.
