Hindustan Power has received the letter of award (LoA) from SJVN Limited for developing a 100 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar power project with a 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The project is part of SJVN’s larger tender for 1,200 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity integrated with 600 MW/2,400 MWh energy storage systems in India. The project was secured through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, followed by an e-reverse auction. The solar capacity installed is expected to exceed the contracted 100 MW to enable both continuous daytime supply and adequate BESS charging for peak-hour support.
