Oriana Power’s wholly owned subsidiary, Truere Knight has signed a battery energy storage purchase agreement (BESPA) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) to develop a 50 MW/100 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) at Heerapura substation in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The project will be implemented under the build own operate model and aims to support grid stability by balancing supply and demand. The estimated project cost is Rs 1.88 billion, with a proposed viability gap funding of Rs 270 million.
