Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL) is set to supply 2.2 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for Singapore–Indonesia green energy link under a new framework agreement with Vanda RE for the Vanda solar and battery project in Indonesia’s Riau Islands.
The project will feature a total BESS capacity of 4.4 GWh and 2 GWp of solar photovoltaic generation, with CATL supplying half the storage requirement using its EnerX platform. It supports the conditional approval granted for exporting 300 MW of non-intermittent power to Singapore.
