City Energy has launched Singapore’s first app-free electric vehicle (EV) charging service under its Go by City Energy brand. The new “AutoCharge” feature enables EV drivers to charge their vehicles by simply plugging in after an initial one-time setup via the Go by City Energy app. The system is now operational at over 200 charge points across Singapore and Malaysia, supported through a collaboration with Malaysia’s EV Connection and its JomCharge network. At launch, AutoCharge is available at five key sites in Singapore, with plans for islandwide expansion. The technology uses a combination of vehicle identification number (VIN) and EV charge controller ID to authenticate each charging session automatically.
