Airtel signs agreement with AMPIN energy transition for 205,167 MWh ISTS solar-wind hybrid supply

Airtel, through its data centre subsidiary Nxtra, has signed a power wheeling agreement with AMPIN Energy Transition to procure an additional 125.65 MW of solar-wind hybrid energy through inter state transmission system (ISTS) connected projects.

The additional capacity will be delivered in two phases through captive hybrid projects located in Rajasthan and Karnataka. AMPIN will expand its operations to 11 new states under this agreement. The deal also introduces large scale ISTS connected renewable supply and a unified delivery model through a single independent power producer.
