The Bihar government has signed memorandum of understanding (MoUs) with four energy companies to develop clean energy projects with a total capacity of 2,357 MW and an estimated investment of approximately Rs 53.37 billion.
The agreements include the development of a 116 MW/241 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Kajra, Lakhisarai by Larsen & Toubro, a 1,000 MW BESS by NTPC Green Energy Limited, 1,000 MW of ground-mounted and floating solar projects by Avaada Group and multiple floating solar and other renewable projects by Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited.
