ACWA Power has secured contracts to develop and operate two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Morocco at Noor Midelt II and Noor Midelt III, each with a capacity of 400 MW.
The projects will be equipped with battery energy storage systems and offer a combined storage capacity of 602 MWh, with a discharge capability of 230 MW over two hours. The projects will be developed under the build own operate model and supported by a 30 year power purchase agreement with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy.
