Infinity Power has signed concession agreements with the Government of Côte d’Ivoire for two solar photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of 80 MWac.
The projects, located in Touba and Laboa, were awarded under the World Bank’s scaling solar programme through a competitive tender process. The projects will also include the construction of 17 km of transmission lines to integrate the plants into the national grid. Once operational, they are expected to supply electricity to over 400,000 consumers, and offset more than 60,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The tender process was managed by the Directorate General for Energy and CI Energies, with the International Finance Corporation acting as an advisor to the government. Additionally, Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy and the Ministry of Finance and Budget served as the granting authority for the agreements.
