Yunneng Wind Power Company Limited has commenced of commercial operations at the 640 MW Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in the Taiwan Strait.
The project was developed under an agreement with Taiwan Power Company, comprises 80 fully grid-connected wind turbine generators. The wind farm is sufficient to meet nearly 90 per cent of Yunlin County’s non-industrial electricity demand. Yunneng is a joint venture of Skyborn Renewables, TotalEnergies, Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO Group) and Sojitz Corporation. Following the commissioning, TotalEnergies will lead technical operations management, while Skyborn Renewables will continue to provide other management services.
