SD Guthrie Berhad (Guthrie) and Gamuda Energy have signed an agreement to jointly develop, own, and operate solar power projects with energy storage systems in Malaysia.
These projects will have a combined capacity of 1,200 MW. The partnership will utilise Guthrie’s land resources across Malaysia along with Gamuda’s experience in renewable energy development in the Asia Pacific region. As a part of the agreement, in the first phase, both companies will identify Guthrie’s under-utilised land across the country to evaluate their suitability for solar project development.
