L&T Heavy Engineering has despatched the first steam generator for Units 3 and 4 of the Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP) in Fatehabad, Haryana. The despatch was completed seven months ahead of schedule. The steam generator is the first of four being manufactured by L&T for GHAVP. Units 3 and 4 are part of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited’s ten 700 MW pressurised heavy water reactors under construction in fleet mode across the country. With this, L&T has supplied five steam generators for the 10 x 700 MW programme.
