Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been conferred with the SCOPE Eminence Award for Human Resource Management by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The recognition highlights POWERGRID’s progressive human resource practices that emphasise employee-focused policies, continuous upskilling, leadership development, while nurturing a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and holistic well-being across the organisation.
The award was received by Ravindra Kumar Tyagi, Chairman and Managing Director, POWERGRID along with Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel), POWERGRID. Additionally, Pankaj Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Finance and K. Moses Chalai, Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance were present along with senior officials of Central Public Sector Undertakings, SCOPE and POWERGRID.
POWERGRID has 286 substations, over 1,80,849 circuit km of transmission lines, and 5,74,331 MVA of transformation capacity as of July 31, 2025. Leveraging advanced technology, automation, and digital solutions, the company has maintained a transmission system availability of more than 99.85 per cent.
