Suzlon commits to powering all manufacturing facilities with 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030

Suzlon Group has become the first Indian energy company to join the RE100 initiative, a global campaign led by the Climate Group in partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project. As part of this commitment, Suzlon has pledged to transition all 15 of its manufacturing facilities to 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030. This is a part of the company’s decarbonisation roadmap, which involves achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2035 and net-zero emissions across its entire value chain (Scope 1, 2 and 3) by 2040. Scope 1 covers direct operational emissions, Scope 2 refers to indirect emissions from purchased electricity and Scope 3 spans emissions across suppliers and product lifecycles.
