Suzlon Group has achieved a new sustainability milestone with its Made-in-India S144 wind turbine model, recording the lowest product carbon footprint of 6.17 gCO₂ per kWh of electricity generated. The achievement has been independently verified by Indian Register Quality Systems under international standards including ISO/IEC 17029:2019, ISO 14067:2018, and ISO 14021:2016 + Amd 1:2021. In addition, TÜV SÜD Poland has verified the S144 as a low-carbon footprint wind solution under ISO 14067 and ISO 14021 + Amd 1:2021 standards. The S144’s low carbon footprint is attributed to design optimisations, local sourcing, use of green steel, and renewable energy.
