Reportedly, the Andhra Pradesh government has expedited Rs 149.62 billion transmission network expansion to meet rising demand. The projects, spread across 400 kV, 220 kV, and 132 kV transmission levels, are aimed at strengthening grid reliability and supporting rapid industrial and infrastructure growth. The state officials have been directed to ensure strict timelines, particularly for projects supporting ports, industrial hubs and the capital region. They have emphasised high-quality and safety standards, noting that projects worth Rs 60 billion must be completed by 2027.
