Masdar has signed an agreement with Nama Power and Water Procurement Company for the development of the Ibri III solar independent power project in Oman.
The project will comprise a 500 MW photovoltaic plant and a 100 MWh battery energy storage system. The consortium includes Masdar, Al Khadra Partners, Korea Midland Power Company and OQ Alternative Energy. The scope of work covers the design, construction, ownership, financing, operation and maintenance of the solar and storage facility.
