Nama Power and Water Procurement Company (PWP) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a consortium led by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) to develop the Ibri III Solar Independent Power Project.
The project will involve a 500 MW photovoltaic plant integrated with a 100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The consortium includes Masdar, Al Khadra Partners, Korea Midland Power Company and OQ Alternative Energy. With a total investment of OMR115 million, the project will cover nearly 10 million square metres.
