Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has signed a statement of intent with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to enhance power infrastructure using artificial intelligence (AI) and energy storage technologies.
The collaboration will focus on digitisation, predictive analytics, and improved integration of distributed renewable energy resources. It includes the deployment of battery energy storage systems to manage peak demand, stabilise supply, and enable dynamic load forecasting. Advanced simulation tools will also be used to improve grid scalability and efficiency.
