RECPDCL transfers SPVs for two ISTS transmission projects under TBCB route

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has transferred two special purpose vehicles (SPVs) for inter-state transmission system (ISTS) projects to the successful bidders under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mechanism.

RECPDCL transferred SR WR Power Transmission Limited to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), which emerged as the successful bidder for the project on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. The project involves the establishment of a 765 kV double circuit transmission line spanning approximately 109 km from Parli New, Maharashtra to Bidar, with an implementation timeline of 24 months. Separately, Ananthapuram II Power Transmission Limited was transferred to Shivalaya Construction Limited. The project comprises the development of a 765/400 kV substation at CN’Halli (Karnataka), a 765 kV double circuit transmission line of around 181 km from Ananthapuram-II Pooling Station to CN’Halli, and augmentation works at Ananthapuram-II in Andhra Pradesh. This project is scheduled for completion within 30 months.
