Tata Power Limited has signed multiple power purchase agreements (PPA) to support Mumbai’s renewable energy supply.
The agreements include a 25-year PPA with ACME Solar Holdings for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project, combining solar and battery energy storage systems at a tariff of Rs 4.43 per unit. The project includes a commitment to deliver four hours of peak power monthly with 90 per cent availability. Tata Power has also entered into a PPA with Juniper Green Energy Limited for a 70 MW FDRE project via its subsidiary, Juniper Green Sigma Eight. The project integrates 180 MWp of solar and wind capacity with a 280 MWh BESS. A third PPA has been signed with Tata Power Renewables for an 80 MW FDRE project. The project will integrate solar, wind, and battery storage technologies.
