Viviana Power Tech Limited has secured a letter of intent (LoI) from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) for the development of a 100 MW/200 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) across Bhopalgarh and Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The project forms part of RRVUNL’s 1,000 MW/2,000 MWh BESS tender issued under the second viability gap funding (VGF) scheme. Viviana will develop the project under the build-own-operate model at an estimated cost of Rs 3.02 billion over a 12-year contract period, with a VGF support of Rs 360 million. The total project value, including taxes, is Rs 3.72 billion.
