Larsen & Toubro’s power transmission & distribution vertical has secured a set of large orders in Saudi Arabia for the construction of grid infrastructure, including a 380 kV gas insulated substation and 380 kV overhead transmission lines.
The substation order includes the development of a 380/33 kV GIS facility along with associated hybrid switchgear, transformers, reactors, and subsystems for protection, control, automation, high voltage alternate current, telecommunications, and firefighting systems. The second set of contracts involves the construction of 380 kV overhead transmission lines spanning over 420 km in total route length.
