CIP to invest USD3 billion in the Philippines’ first offshore wind farm

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is set to invest USD3 billion in the development of the Philippines’ first offshore wind project, located in Camarines Sur near San Miguel Bay.

The project, with a planned capacity of up to 1 GW, will be developed in partnership with ACEN – Renewable Energy Solutions. It will include turbine installation, foundations, and grid connectivity infrastructure. The announcement follows CIP’s earlier agreement in May 2025 to divest a 25 per cent stake in the project to ACEN and marks CIP’s first offshore wind venture in Southeast Asia.
