Vedanta Limited’s power division has secured a 500 MW power purchase agreement (PPA) from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL).
The supply will be sourced from Vedanta’s thermal units, Meenakshi Energy Limited, and Vedanta Limited Chhattisgarh Thermal Power Plant, with 300 MW and 200 MW allocated, respectively. The five-year contract begins on February 1, 2026, and runs through January 31, 2031, at a tariff of Rs 5.38 per unit.
