Alfanar Projects secures SAR299 million OHTL contract

Alfanar Projects, a Saudi Arabian engineering, procurement and construction company has signed a contract with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu to construct an overhead transmission line (OHTL) to support the A1 electrical substation in Jazan City for primary and downstream industries (JCPDI).

The project is valued at over SAR299 million, and aims to enhance grid reliability and expand power capacity within one of the country’s key industrial zones. The new transmission infrastructure will strengthen supply to the A1 substation, which is critical to supporting JCPDI’s industrial growth, and ensuring stable power for primary and downstream industries in the Jizan region. The project complements Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to upgrade its high voltage transmission infrastructure, and improve energy availability across major industrial and urban centres.
