Sembcorp Industries, through its subsidiary Sembcorp Green Infra, has secured a 150 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project from SJVN Limited under its 6,000 MWh assured peak power tender.
The project will integrate around 750 MW of solar capacity with a battery energy storage system to supply firm renewable power. The project will be developed on a build-own-operate basis, with commercial operations targeted within 24 months of signing a 25-year power purchase agreement. With this win, Sembcorp’s renewable capacity in India has crossed 7.6 GW, while its global portfolio now exceeds 20.1 GW, including assets under development.
