EnviTec to build first biogas plant in the Philippines

EnviTec Biogas has partnered with First Quezon Biogas Corporation to construct its first biogas facility in the Philippines. The 1.4 MW plant will be located in Candelaria, Quezon Province, and is expected to begin supplying electricity to the Meralco grid by June 2026. The project will process poultry manure from 4.5 million broilers and rice-straw silage to produce electricity and organic fertiliser. Infrastructure includes two 5,250 m³ fermenters, a biogas engine, clamp silo, transformer, intake hall, and digestate lagoon, with remaining systems to be installed in early 2026.
