BC Jindal Group has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 150 MW round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy project under SECI’s 1,200 MW RTC tender floated in November 2024.
The project was secured through a reverse auction at a tariff of Rs 5.07 per kWh. The company will develop interstate transmission services (ISTS)-connected solar, wind, and battery energy storage assets to supply continuous renewable power. Since 2024-25, BC Jindal Group has secured 750 MW of renewable capacity which includes a 300 MW project from SJVN Limited and a 300 MW allocation under NHPC Limited’s ISTS-connected solar programme with an investment of over Rs 80 billion.
