Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has awarded two contracts totaling KWD 36.4 million (USD 118 million) for the installation of 400 kV underground cables (UGCs) to supply power to substations at the South Sabah Al-Ahmad residential project, located 80 km south of Kuwait City.
The first contract worth KWD 17.8 million has been awarded to TBEA Shandong Luneng Taishan Cable Company Limited for underground cable works linked to the 1Z and 4Z substations. The second, for KWD 18.6 million, was awarded to EGYTEK Cables LLC for similar works at the 2Z and 3Z substations.
