The Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTRANSCO) has awarded its viability gap funding (VGF) tender for 1,000 MW/2,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The capacities secured by the winners and the tariffs quoted by them are as follows: SVR Electro Projects won 25 MW/50 MWh at a tariff of Rs 148,000 per MW per month. Furthermore, Ecoren Energy (275 MW/550 MWh), Bhagwati Group (75 MW/150 MWh), and Legion Energy Products (25 MW/50 MWh) secured their respective capacities at a tariff of Rs 150,000 per MW per month each. Other winners and the capacities secured by them are: Bondada Engineering (225 MW/450 MWh) and Power Grid Corporation of India (150 MW/300 MWh). These capacities were secured by the winners at a tariff of Rs 164,000 per MW per month each. Furthermore, Ecoren Energy secured a capacity of 225 MW/450 MWh at a tariff of Rs 165,000 per MW per month.
