Schneider Electric, AVEVA and ETAP have joined the Alliance for OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description) to support the development of interoperable digital twins and simulation-ready 3D models for industrial applications. The partnership aligns with NVIDIA’s vision to scale physically accurate, AI-enabled digital twin environments across sectors such as energy grids, buildings, data centres and manufacturing. By adopting OpenUSD, the three companies aim to enhance simulation capabilities using SimReady assets, accelerate AI infrastructure deployment and support real-time system modelling through NVIDIA Omniverse libraries.
