Waaree Energies has secured approval under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) list-II for its 5.25 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Degam, Chikhli, Navsari district, Gujarat.
The approved capacity includes 3,923 MW of N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact cells and 1,328 MW of P-type passivated emitter and rear cell bifacial cells. The company stated that the list-II inclusion marks a significant step in strengthening backward integration across India’s solar value chain.
